A VESC (Vedder Electronic Speed Controller) is an open-source brushless motor controller running VESC firmware. It uses Field-Oriented Control (FOC) for smooth, efficient, programmable control of BLDC and PMSM motors, configured via VESC Tool.
Unlike closed-firmware ESCs, VESC exposes every parameter (FOC, current limits, regen, throttle curves) for tuning, supports sensored and sensorless motors, and offers telemetry and scripting, which is ideal for custom EV and robotics projects.
Size by your motor phase-current demand and application. 200A-500A VESC controllers suit ebikes, scooters and light robotics; 1000A-class units power high-performance eskate, EUCs and small EVs; 2000A VESC controllers target extreme builds such as electric motorcycles and industrial drives. Always leave headroom above your battery fully-charged voltage.
Yes. ChatRobotic is an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified manufacturer offering OEM/ODM VESC controllers, custom firmware, enclosure design and PCB assembly for 200A-2000A applications.
